Community ServiceThanks to all those Buckeye volunteers who participated in one of our community service events throughout the year. In addition to helping out with past events such as the Diabetes Walk, Adopt-a-Highway and Hands On DC, OSUDC can look forward to several community service events in the future, where we'll get the chance to work with service organizations such as Habitat For Humanity, Our Daily Bread and Greater DC Cares.If there is a service event about which you are really passionate and you would like to see OSUDC get involved, please e-mail your ideas to Chris at service@osudc.org.
Hands on DC 2010Hands on DC enlists the help of over 2,000 volunteers participating at 30 to 40 DC public schools to help in painting, cleaning, and landscaping the school grounds. Our alumni club team will be placed at one of these schools to help with this rewarding work. In past years, our team has done everything from painting classrooms to touching up murals to sprucing up the playground. It's a great time to meet fellow alumni and do something great for the children of DC.
