Mentor a Glenn Fellow
The John Glenn School of Public Affairs is looking for DC-area mentors for junior and senior OSU students participating in the Washington Academic Internship Program (WAIP). The goal of the WAIP mentoring program is to help students adjust to a new and challenging environment, and to work with them on career planning, networking, and professional skills development.
In addition to the natural development of the mentorship relationship based on the distinctive intellectual and social needs of the mentor and student, participants will have the opportunity to participate in several Glenn School events throughout the quarter. Each quarter, the official mentorship program kicks off with a meet and greet and concludes with a farewell dinner at the end of the quarter. Ideally, the bonds between Glenn Fellows and their mentors will often continue beyond the end of the quarter.
If you are interested in learning more about the WAIP mentoring program, please contact Mike McCandlish at 202.543.6215 or mccandlish.21@osu.edu.
